One Day Screen Acting Course
These One Day workshops are an introduction to the 10 week part time
levels. They are designed for those who need a fast injection of
acting skills so they can compete against other actors for
commercials and roles. Our focus is on skilling up the actor so they
can perform in front of the camera and on set.
This intensive and fun one day training focuses on audition techniques
for commercials and how to handle scripts when upgraded to a featured
extra role. As Auckland is a screen-based city (has much more screen production than professional theatre), most auditions are on camera, so it is important to understand the NZ protocol of auditioning and casting requirements.
Watching yourself on camera is a fast track to learning how you come
across on screen and helping you to feel confident and relax.
Technical camera skills and confidence building can be the key to
landing a job as a featured actor.
This day is for the complete beginner, student actor with experience in theatre or school, or extra just starting out.

to audition for commercials, NZ protocols, energy levels,
improvisation, auditions, script analysis, fear management and
confidence building, how to win at auditions.
